Debadutta Das is Indian born, from Bhubaneswar, Orissa. He is a member of The Global Peace Judiciary Committee, is Director-General of the International Lawyers for World Peace and Executive Ombudsman, International Organization for Migration, he is a member Panel Executive for The International Peace Prize Committee in Oslo, Norway. He is an executive Human Rights Lawyer and Chair Person of The International Human Rights Council, NewYork USA.

Dr Debadutta Das received his education from Utkal University, India, Lund University, Sweden, and gained further education in the USA. He entered the legal profession as an Attorney at Law in the United States, as a member of the Bar of New York State and the Supreme Court of India. His practice as an attorney and counsellor of law in International asylum and civil rights has given him a broad and varied field of experience.

With 32 years of life experience after his university education, he has respectfully modelled a life of personal integrity and dignity working in International NGOs in Europe and other parts of the western world. He is a world traveller, crossing the Globe five times throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, Northern, Central and South America, rendering justice within social services, as a guest professor and conducting work-camps on special assignments of civil discipline. He has worked for and promoted the protection of Human Rights matters and environmental issues in various parts of the world.

Debadutta Das is multi-lingual and is passionately dedicated to Indian Gandhian Philosophy and Sarvodaya Global Development, promoting respect for all living beings, irrespective of caste, color, cultural and gender groups. He loves music, is vegetarian and chooses an ascetic lifestyle. He has actively participated in many major world events, including Whole Life Expos, participated in the Olympic Games in 1984, was a team leader of a group of volunteers with the United Nations Peace Workers, serving Eastern Europe and South America. As a Sarvodaya peace worker, Dr Debadutta Das is dedicated to peace and human rights-based on Gandhian ideologies. He has authored a “Touch of Life” Video, which highlights simple living, higher thinking and better health. Born into an ethnic, common, Oriya family, he is a dynamic human being with a rare mind, the heart of an Indian and an international perspective. His father, Lingaraj Das, was also a dedicated Gandhian peace worker, highly motivated by the life ideologies and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr. Debadutta Das has worked in the state of California in various corporate management positions in both the private and Government sectors, in international administration and The Department of Correction. He has served as a counsellor in the Department of Rehabilitation in the State of California and for the United Nations Peace Keeping Forces and International Security Administration. He has served in the post Gulf War efforts of 1990 and 2003. The love of his own country, India, has been the prime reason for Debadutta Das to return home where he serves as a peace worker and Law Counselor. He continues to travel frequently on the quest for support to promote peace, democracy and international goodwill.
